You would have a great deal of trouble finding a more dedicated, experienced staff than ours. Our staff members and dentists in Langley, BC, are fun, caring, energetic, and skilled.
With all staff members having over 10 years of experience in their respective fields, they all present just as much dedication and advanced training as Dr. Hill.
Also, Dr. Hill isn’t the only one involved in teaching.
Front Desk Coordinator/Certified Dental Assistant
Miriam was born and raised in the Vancouver area. She graduated from Douglas College and comes with many years as a Certified Dental Assistant.
She has had many additional hours of training in all areas of dentistry and received her Orthodontic Module from UBC in June 2011. Miriam joined our practice in 2007 and works in reception and as a Dental Assistant. She enjoys working in all areas of practice and loves working with people to help create a positive dental experience.
In her spare time, Miriam enjoys running, gardening, travel and spending time with family and friends.
Debbie was born and raised in the Vancouver area and has been with the office of Dr. Steven Hill since 1995. She has an in-depth background with Pacific Blue Cross, so she is our go-to person for insurance information.
She enjoys spending time with her family and especially her two grandchildren.
Certified Dental Assistant
Debbie was born and raised in the Lower Mainland. She graduated from Douglas College and has taken extensive training on Orthodontics, Prosthodontics, TMD, and Neuromuscular Dentistry.
She enjoys helping people feel comfortable in the dental environment and is committed to provide top quality care.
In her spare time, Debbie enjoys the outdoors and spending time with friends and family.
Certified Dental Assistant
Marian was born in Ottawa, Ontario and moved to BC right after her high school graduation, where she worked television for many years and eventually decided to work in the field of dentistry.
Marian graduated from Douglas College and has taken extensive training on Orthodontics, Prosthodontics, TMD, and Neuromuscular Dentistry. She takes pride in her work and enjoys providing quality care.
In her free time, Marian loves skiing, walking, bike riding, and spending time with family and friends.
Certified Dental Hygienist
Sarah’s father wanted adventure so he moved his family to Canada from the UK when Sarah was thirteen. She now finds plenty of adventure with her own family by skiing, hiking, camping, geo-caching, kayaking, volunteering, being with friends, and walking her Bernese Mountain Dog.
Glad to have given up banking to study Dental Hygiene in UBC, Sarah takes great pride in providing meticulous, gentle care of her patients, guiding them to achieve maximum oral health, and in helping patients make informed decisions for their dental treatment choices.
Prior to joining the 64th Ave. Dental team, Sandy spent over 25 years in the food and hospitality industry and 14 years in the dental field.
What’s one thing she’s learned? Customer service looks different to each individual, so being flexible and having the ability to distinguish what the client desires is paramount for success.
Sandy believes in a total and complete health model. She has a clear understanding of the importance of being in tune with one’s own oral and systemic health and the impact they have on each other.
As Treatment Coordinator, she has the opportunity to support our patients with a customized action plan to reach their goals. She is also inspired by the integrity of our dental team and our compassion and responsibility in helping our patients succeed in their oral health goals.
She considers herself privileged in partnering with Dr. Hill and a team who strives to be the best in their field and create smiles that improve their patients’ quality of life.
Registered Dental Hygienist
Sandy graduated from the Algonquin Dental Hygiene program in 1996, and has been working as a Registered Dental Hygienist ever since.
Prior to this in 1992, she worked as a Certified Dental Assistant in the Maxillofacial Surgery field. Her previous studies were at John Abbott College in Ste.Anne de Bellevue, Quebec, where she achieved a Social Science D.E.C. in 1989.
After over 20 years in the dental field, she is still passionate about her career and about the importance of good dental health and how it directly affects our general health and well-being. Sandy enjoys working with such a wonderful, progressive and cutting-edge Oral Health Solution Dental Practice!
In her spare time, she enjoys health and wellness research/courses, yoga, meditation, spirituality, conjuring up raw food recipes, nature walks, and spending her time with her beautiful four-year old son. She is also fluent in French!
Dr. Mark Wang
Dr. Mark Wang was born and raised in Southern Ontario and received a Bachelor of Science degree (with distinction) in Microbiology and Biochemistry from the University of Toronto in 1988.
He graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry, University of British Columbia in 1992 and immediately opened a dental practice in North Surrey. He has been working with Dr. Hill since 2006 and maintains his own private practice in Burnaby.
Dr. Wang is an experienced practitioner who has an extraordinary commitment to Continuing Dental Education. Consequently, he offers an expanded scope of general dentistry with clinical competence in General and Cosmetic Dentistry, TMJ and Neuromuscular Dentistry, Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Implant Dentistry, orthodontics and Obstructive Sleep Apnea. His commitment is to provide the highest level of quality dental care in a comfortable, professional and friendly environment. Dentistry has always been his passion and he derives great satisfaction from helping patients enhance their health and smile with confidence.
Recently, Dr. Wang received fellowships with the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies and the International Congress of Oral Implantology. He is also a part-time clinical instructor at the Faculty of Dentistry at U.B.C.
Dr. Mark Wang is a Past-President of the Fraser Valley Dental Society and was a board member of the British Columbia Dental Association from 2003-2007.
